Mike Rowse

Director – General of Invest Hong Kong, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region

Mike Rowse came to Hong Kong in 1972, and has lived here ever since. After spells as an English tutor and a journalist, he joined the Independent Commission Against Corruption on its establishment in 1974. After serving in both the Operations and Corruption Prevention Departments, he switched to the Government proper in 1980 as an Administrative Officer.

His recent postings include being the first Commissioner for Tourism (from May 1999 to September 2000), and in July 2000 he was appointed as the first Director-General of Investment Promotion. In that capacity he established the government's investment promotion agency – Invest Hong Kong. He also serves as the Chairman of AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong's biggest exhibition and event venue.

He is married to Fanny Wong, former political editor of the South China Morning Post. They have one daughter and one son. Mike also has two sons by a previous marriage.

In August 2001, he became the first expatriate civil servant in Hong Kong's history to Naturalise as a Chinese National.

Ohad Levitt

Consultant - Boughton Peterson Yang Anderson, Hong Kong

Ohad Levitt is probably the first and so far the only Israeli advocate to be also admitted in Hong Kong and in England and Wales.

Mr. Levitt was admitted as an Israeli Advocate in 1998 after graduating from Essex University U.K. with an honours degree in law. In 1997 Mr. Levitt joined the leading Israeli law firm of Yehuda Ressler where he did his clerkship for a year, practiced as an advocate and ws admitted as a partner in 2002.

Subsequently, Mr. Levitt was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2005. He joined BPYA in 2006.

 

 

 

 

Jeff Ambjorn

Jeff Ambjorn was born in 1953 and is a Swedish citizen. He is married with one daughter. He has a marketing economist degree and is a captain in the Swedish Army Reserve.

Having worked in sales of office equipment and andministration of industrial maintenance producs, he joined HKTDC in 1979. He has worked in Scandinavia, CIS, Brazil, Hong Kong and the Middle East.

He is currently the Regional Director of HKTDC for the Middle East and Africa.

 Moshe Leder

 Head of Global Business Development at the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute.

Moshe Leder joined IEICI in 2007. Among his other duties, he is currently leading the IEICI Market Entry efforts into Greater China, Japan and India. Prior to joining IEICI, Moshe spent more than 15 years in number of Sales & Business Development senior management positions in leading Israeli High-Tech organizations. Prior to that, Moshe spent close to 10 years in Toronto where he worked at senior sales management positions in a local software company. Over the years, Moshe has gained extensive hands-on experience and know-how in global markets' business development, with special focus and interest in the APAC region.

Moshe holds an MBA from University of Toronto and BA from University of Tel Aviv.

 

 

Yigal Livne

CIVC Co-Founder

Mr. Livne has over 25 years of operational experience in the software industry. Mr. Livne co-founded Neurone Ventures II, in 2000, which later became PNV. over the last seven years , he has served as board member of 10 private and two public companies traded in NASDAQ.

Mr. Livne served as the Executive VP of Tecnomatix Technologies Ltd. from 1995 to 1999, after serving 4 years as the VP of Marketing and Business Development. Prior to that, Mr. Livne also held various technical and marketing positions in Oshap Technologies and in the Israeli aircraft industry.

He joined Neurone Ventures II at the end of 1999, following leading seven software company acquisitions for Tecnomatix. Mr. Livne's time at Tecnomatix in Israel followed his return to Israel after seven years of working in Europe, including.

Between 1988 and 1991 Mr. Livne served as  a Director of Business Development at Oshap Technologies and was instrumental in transforming the it into a software holding company. From 1987 to 1988 Mr. Livne was responsible for corporate marketing and business development at he Tecnomatix corporate HQ in Belgium. He was also Director of Technical Marketing between 1985 and 1987, after serving as a Software Development Team Leaderat Robcad from 1983 to 1985.

Mr. Livne holds a B.Sc and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.

 

Chaim Friedman

CFO - STARLIMS Technologies Ltd.

Chaim Friedman has served as Chief Financial Officer since 1989, directing STARLIMS financial and business development activities. He has wide-ranging expertise, from financial management and regulatory compliance to corporate development and strategic planning.

Mr. Friedman has served as a consultant and director in several technology-oriented companies. He holds B.Sc. degree in Economics and Management from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Mr. Friedman has been a member of STARLIMS board of directors since 1989.

 
  Marc Tannenbaum

Leo Schachter Diamonds Ltd.

Mark Tannenbaum is fourth generation in the diamond business. His grandfather, Leo Schachter- himself son of a diamond polisher-formed the company that bears his name in NY in 1952.

Marc's family moved to Israel in 1983 from NY. After serving in the army and completing his undergraduate studies he joined the family business in 2003. Marc has a Bsc. in computer science and a Ba. in economics from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.

In the years since Marc began work at Leo Schachter Diamonds, he learned the art and science of diamond polishing has managed a diamond factory, dealt in selling and purchaising rough diamonds and spent two years in NY handling polished sales.

Since the decision to open a polishing factory in China, Marc has been involved in its development. the factory has grown to over 500 workers.
